I honestly didn’t have too many opinions on charities before the video. The only thing I’ve been told by friends and family is to research the cause/where the money is going before donating to a charity. It was a privilege to listen to Dan Pallotta talk about the reasons why overhead is essential for charities to reach their goal. He makes a good point that charities can raise a lot more money to eventually reach their goal through spending a certain percentage on advertisement. I think I agree with him in that there may be a misconception that donations used on advertisements equals a waste of money that could be spent on the actual cause.
